The scope of the Research Associate DSP includes understanding fate of impurities, product stability and

degradation mechanisms, identifying unit operations and key parameters to establish operating ranges

and meet target COGs. This position will require managing unit operations and collecting data towards

developing scalable processes to separate and purify bio-derived Starting Materials and APIs from bench

to Pilot scale. Laboratory skills in sample preparation and analysis, Liquid-Solid separation, Liquid-Liquid

separation are required. A successful incumbent will work cross-functionally with Biology, Analytics,

Operations, Quality and Regulatory departments to support the team in developing sustainable

processes that produce in specification products in the timelines established.

Primary Responsibilities

Comply with safety protocols and ensure the safety of co-workers

Comply with Regulatory and DEA requirements when required for handling, disposal and documentation

Support project teams to deliver on project goals

Perform studies following experimental protocols

Run regular unit operations and data collection for analysis

Preparation of samples for Analytical methods

Maintain equipment

Work cross functionally and provide documentation for transparency and reports

Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

B.S. in Chemistry, or applicable area of study 2+ years industry experience

Analytical and compound isolation laboratory experience

Hands on experience with bench scale filtration, evaporation and crystallization

Experience with Microsoft Excel

Experience writing reports

Analytical Chemistry experience with HPLC/UPLC a plus.

The base compensation for this role is $80K - $100K based on demonstrated relevant skills and experience.  

For  full-time employees , Antheia offers a comprehensive total rewards package.  Part-time  (<30 hours per week) and  temporary  roles are not eligible for Company sponsored benefits.
